Our strong RN team are highly trained with various nursing skills and ready to deal with all sorts of medical/clinical issues. Along with our passionate experienced Healthcare Assistant team, we are a group of experienced professionals, We are compassionate, and treat all who stay with us with the dignity and empathy. Owners and Operators
The owners and operators of St Patrick’s Home & Hospital are David Rankin, Jenny Liu and Chao Geng. All of the owners work on location in Epsom, Both Jenny and Chao are New Zealand trained Registered Nurse with current Annual Practice Certificate from New Zealand Nursing Council. Apart from Bachelor of Nursing degree, Jenny has awarded Master of Nursing degree from the University of Auckland. Before the ownership change, Jenny has been working at St Patricks Home and Hospital as a Clinical Manager and Facility Manager for two years. Jenny will continue working the same role along with Chao working as Assistant Clinical Manager. David has awarded Bachelor of Engineering degree from The University of Auckland, and MBA from Auckland University of Technology. David as a Registered Plumber, will be more responsible for construction, maintenance etc. All of the owners are friendly and professional. They work Monday to Friday, and are available 7 days a week only a phone call or short drive away.
Medical Services
General practitioner Dr Paul Trotman and Dr. Roderick Mulgan are our contracted GPs at St Patricks Home and Hospital Dr Paul and Dr. Mulgan, along with his team of doctors, specialize in elder care services. In addition to comprehensive weekly visits, they provides 24/7 medical care. and on-call service.
Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
As part of our nursing care and medical treatment, we employ a contract physiotherapist who can assess and plan individualised programs for residents. We employ a full-time physio assistant and have staff who can work individually with clients on their programs. Jenny as a level 4 rehabilitation nurse, along with Chao has rehabilitation nursing background too. Rehabilitation is in their blood and bones. We are providing group exercises too, with a Tai Chi therapist who takes weekly classes with residents. Our activities coordinator also supervises gentle sitting exercises, including some programs organised with visits from local schools. We also have a Diversional Therapist joint our exciting team.
