At St Patrick’s Home &Hospital, we offer a range of engaging activities, including knitting, letter writing, walks and outings, word games and art and floor games. We strongly encourage residents to participate in our exercise programme. We also offer group activities, including two or three trips per week to concerts and cafes. We have musicians and other entertainers who visit several times per week. We hold a 'happy hour' on the last Friday of each month from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, excluding December.
Entertainment is provided on the day and we welcome family, friends and prospective residents to join us. We have activity providers on staff, who specialise in diversionary therapy. A number of different volunteers work with us and visit on a regular basis. These include volunteers from Age Concern, Auckland Girls Grammar and SPCA.
